Impaired Driving, DUI, Over 80

Guelph Impaired Driving Lawyer - Perrin Valli. Dedicated to your Defence.

Perrin helped me during the worst time of my life. I was charged with over 80 (impaired driving) and was going to face severe immigration consequences (deportation) if found guilty. To complicate things, I had high blood alcohol content (BAC) readings. After talking with more than ten lawyers, I decided to hire Perrin because of his honesty since our first call. He was always available and willing to discuss any questions that arose through the process. He helped me prepare for the worst, but at the same time put tremendous effort to build a strong package to help me secure a guilty plea deal for careless driving. Within less than four months from the arrest, I had the over 80 charge decreased to careless driving, resulting in no criminal record and immigration consequences. Having over 80 charges dropped to careless driving with high BAC readings is extremely rare. One may say I was lucky. I would say I was lucky to have the best lawyer to fight my case. Thank you, Perrin - I will be forever grateful for your help!

Charged with drinking and driving?

Over 80? Impaired Driving? Impaired By Drug?

I defend impaired driving charges and I can help you.

A conviction for an impaired driving charge has huge consequences: a permanent criminal record, loss of driving privileges, fines, expensive monthly fees for mandatory ignition interlock systems, astronomical vehicle insurance rates, and in some cases jail or probation. For many, a criminal conviction for impaired driving can result in loss of employment.

While a quick guilty plea without a lawyer may appear to be the cheaper option - you might be making a big mistake that will cost you thousands of dollars in the future.

This area of law is highly complex and technical. It changes continuously and requires a thorough understanding of both the law and the technical workings of the testing processes and machinery.

I have the experience and knowledge to review your case, explore defences that might arise in your case and help you make an informed decision about whether to proceed to trial or to plead guilty:

  • There may be problems in the way that the police conducted their investigation and they may not have complied with the Charter of Rights and Freedoms which places limits on how the police can conduct impaired driving investigations.

  • There may be technical problems in the way that the police conducted the testing in your case.

  • There may be evidentiary problems that might prevent the prosecution from proving the charge.

If you have decided that you want to hire a lawyer to help you with your impaired driving charge in Guelph, call me to discuss options and prices. I am based in Guelph and regularly represent clients charged with impaired driving before the Guelph Ontario Court of Justice.

Don’t wait - the window to be eligible for an early driver’s licence reinstatements under “Stream A”  is very short. Delaying the decision to hire a lawyer can be very costly.
